Mykeru (Michael Angel Cohen Gonzalez) is a Venezuelan-American musician, producer, and audiovisual artist, born in Denver and raised in Caracas. He trained formally at the Conservatorio José Ángel Lamas, studying classical guitar, harmony, counterpoint, composition, and orchestral practice.
His music fuses metal, electronic music, classical, rock, Venezuelan folklore, and Afro-Venezuelan rhythms with drum & bass, jungle, techno, and hardcore — built around electric guitar, voice, electronic production, and a growing visual identity rooted in pointillist and psychedelic art.
Mykeru records and releases music independently through his own label, MYKERU Records of America. His catalog includes the albums Power is Money (2025), Scombros, and We Live in a Battle for Human Attention, along with singles like Sin Moral, Con Mearte Tengo, and Se Escuchan Ruidos. He is also the author of Prisionero de la Música, an autobiographical music book in development as an audiobook.
Beyond the studio, Mykeru is building a hybrid live show — combining DJ sets, electric guitar, voice, and electronics Visuals— with the goal of taking his music on the road across the WORLD.
